2015 CFIS National Championship

Not everything about the FBA Universe has been documented yet on WikiFBA. And even if it is, this is the place to hold discussions about the world that these furries exist in.

2015 CFIS National Championship

Postby MartineauQC » September 1st, 2014, 4:38 pm

Alright, I know it's would be a long time for it, but I like to plan ahead. For my player story, I wanted to make the CFIS (Canadian Furry Intercollegiate Sports) national tournament, which is in March in Toronto, a important part of the story. So seeing how some past draftees also has history with it, I just wanted to have a feel to anything that wishing to have there player participate actively into it. So if you ever interested, please leave a word so when the times comes, we can organize something good!

Player-wise, I'm planning something else outside of the CFIS for next off-season, but Mitch Dunn would be happy to pimp out any Canadian prospect!

Since Paul and Betsie were generous enough to bring me into that story arc for 2014, I will state that all three of my submissions for next year are American, so I won't have anything in this part of the universe. The other two who were basically 'adopted' in (they selected schools that Paul, Betsie and myself created for this arc that were going to be in the tournament) were Kingsley (Kevin Malka) and Harlow (Julian Cross-Kiraly). I'm unsure if either of them have anything planned within that arc for 2015.

I would suggest seeing if anyone else is planning on having a player from a Canadian university and roll it from there.

What I did with Harlow for the after-tournament match was we each went to random.org, put in a random number from 50-100, ran it 10 times and averaged the results for each team to arrive at that team's final score.

CFIS was set up as 3 rounds - 8 teams in the first, 4 in the semis, and 2 in the finals.

Hope that helps.

Here a little update about the FCIS tournament,

As it's stand, knowing about the new time for draftees, the tournament been pushed off untill draft submission are allowed. Still intent of making the tournament as for the moment. Université Animalère Laval is in as the Quebec Division Champion and Heritage River is in also as the defending champions. I still be looking for anyone with Canadian draftees who are interested into having there guy participate in the tournament to let me know!

After much consideration for not been caught up with the playoffs and been squeeze this summer with the draftees events coming in, I decided to go on ahead and have the 2015 FCIS National tournament happen. Here are the Finalists for this year tournament:

Ontario Division Champion: Avian University of Hamilton
Ontario Division Finalist: Oshawa Interspecies Technical College
Ontario Division 3rd finalist: Thunder Bay Predator College
Western Conference Champion: Heritage River Riparian College
Quebec Division Champion: Université Animalière Laval
Atlantic Conference Champ: Marine University of Halifax
Host: University of Eastern Ontario
Central Conference Chamipion: Winnipeg Anthropomorphic Institute

Normally, this tournament span over 4 days. So I will roll the results over the week-end, and the tournament should be Happening from April 22th to the 26th. Look forward to see some information about it from Francois's twitter and maybe Mitch Dunn too.
